The Butterflies

You'll find some of our wonderful peacock butterflies flipping about. Their pattern of eyespots are there to confuse predators, and they are fairly huge compared to the rest of the butterfly family.

Fear not though, for it has deemed humans to be of no threat. These butterflies are friendly and, if you're not afraid, will accept friendly pats. However, these butterflies are more for thrill seekers, for they are strong and fast flyers, so if you're squeamish about your height, be warned!

Everyone knows the monarch butterfly--it's the most popular butterfly in town! Just like the peacock butterfly, its wings are to scare predators; but mostly to warn them that they are poisonous. Fortunately, as long as you don't attempt to bite them, they are perfectly safe to ride on.

These critters are also friendly beasts, and they're more docile than the peacock butterfly, so anyone looking to try something new can safely choose this butterfly.

The Morpho butterfly is renowned for its beauty; unfortunately it is a severely threatened species of butterfly due to deforestation, and their attractive wings are easy prey to collectors and artists alike. As such, we have taken the liberty to breed these butterflies in our greenhouse, and let you experience the beauty of life within these living, friendly creatures by giving you a chance to ride on them.
